Display and Design
The A37 sports a 5.0-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with HD resolution and pixel density of 294 PPI, sufficient for viewing images, watching videos, and other everyday mobile phone activities. The IPS LCD display should provide good viewing angles and visibility under the sun. The screen supports glove touch and wet touch input. The phone has a 2.5D display that adds to the phone's aesthetics in addition to its unibody design. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to save from damages. In terms of design, the phone measures a slim 7.7 mm thick and weighs 136 grams. The phone is available in two colours: gold and rose gold.
Platform and Memory
The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Oppo s Color 3.0 OS on top, on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 306 GPU. The four cores along with the phone s2GB RAM will keep the device functioning with minimal lags. The phone also comes with 16GB of storage that can be increased to 256GB with a microSD card that fits into a dedicated slot.
Cameras and Battery
The phone has an 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, autofocus and a f/2.0 aperture that takes sufficiently clear pictures when there is ample light. The secondary camera is 5-megapixels with a f/2.4 aperture. The camera app features geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and panorama. The phone is powered by a 2,630 non-removable Li-ion battery that will last a day with moderate use.
Connectivity and other features
The dual-SIM phone supports 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a micro-USB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, proximity sensor and compass.
